Four gentlemen Sing jazz
Orlin Pavlov, Pavel Terziyski, Svilen Noev, Stefan Valdobrev and Octet Plovdiv
The concert “Four Gentlemеn Sing Jazz” will bring together on stage Orlin Pavlov, Pavel Terziyski, Svilen Noev and Stefan Valdobrev. Each of them has his own voice and artistic expression, different experience and style. Well known and loved by the audience, owning an extraordinary charisma, the four vocalists accepted the invitation by Plovdiv Jazz Fest to take part in this special project which puts them in a different musical context. All songs have been arranged for this concert by Miroslav Turiyski. Together on stage with the four singers will be Octet Plovdiv – Dimitar Liolev (alt saxophone), Venelin Georgiev (tenor saxophone), Martin Tashev (trumpet), Ivan Melin (trombone), Nikolay Karageorgiev (guitar), Miroslav Turiyski (piano), Alexander Lekov (bass) and Kristian Jelev (drums). In the last few years more and more world famous pop and rock artists have the bravery to explore jazz, a musical ground with no limitations, which gives the musicians the opportunity for improvisation on some of the most famous standards in the history of music. And there are some magnificent results – like the collaboration between Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga or that of Herbie Hancock with Pink and Seal, or the inspirational jazz album of Annie Lennox. The list goes on.
On 3 November we will hear Orlin Pavlov, Pavel Terziyski, Svilen Noev and Stefan Valdobrev sing jazz – for the first time on the main stage of Plovdiv Jazz Fest.
“Four Gentlemen Sing Jazz” is the sequel to “Four ladies sing jazz”
